Welcome

September 2023

President Sally Centrich is blessed to have been a member of The Woodlands Garden Club for the last several years. The theme for 2023-24 is “TO PLANT A GARDEN IS TO BELIEVE IN TOMORROW” (Audrey Hepburn). “The members inspire me every single day. Much like a garden, our roots run deep, and our friendships continue to grow. In addition to gardening, many of our members enjoy a variety of talents such as cooking, crafting, sewing, painting, and designing. No matter what our diverse backgrounds are, we all come together to share the love of gardening. Our membership is so incredibly well rounded and grounded”!

Vice President Sherry Copeland has arranged great speakers and programs for the monthly meetings at the Shenandoah Municipal Complex, and we’re planning fun field trips and tons of activities. Members are invited to bring a plant, cutting or seeds from their garden for the horticulture table at the meetings. We appreciate our members’ input and look forward to hearing your ideas. We also meet once a month to create small flower arrangements for hospice patients in The Woodlands.

The Fall Plant & Crafts sale on Saturday, October 21st and the Spring Plant Sale (date TBA) will both be at The Woodlands Farmers’ Market at Grogan’s Mill.

Look for emails from The Woodlands Garden Club along the way and we would love to hear from you too: do you have a story about a plant in your garden? Email us a picture of what you’re loving in your garden right now! If you need help, contact one of our board members or email thewoodlandsgardenclub@gmail.com

Happy Gardening!
