The Woodlands Garden Club last meeting of the year is a gala luncheon with the installation of officers for the next term: President Bitsey Crismon, Vice President Katherine Plenger, Treasurer Sabrina Crooke, and Secretary Sharon Podolski. The ceremony was conducted by Mary Barnes, a garden club founding member.
Emotional outgoing President Betty Lahiri received a plaque to be installed on a bench in Shenandoah, and incoming President Bitsey Crismon revealed embroidered t-shirts and tote bags.
Betty presented the “Outstanding Members of the Year” awards to Sherry Copeland, chair of the hospice floral design committee, and Detlev Simonis for his contribution of the best pictures of all our activities! Congratulations to both!
And then it was time to eat! Beautiful room and table decorations by Betty. On a sad note we learned that Grotto is closing at the end of May.
We conducted a brief meeting and enjoyed a fabulous afternoon!
The new board is busy planning for 2021-2022. Meanwhile be sure to check your email for summer activities. No meetings but there will be field trips and craft activities. We appreciate our members input and look forward to hearing your ideas for the upcoming term. Thanks to the board, committee chairs, and the volunteers who make The Woodlands Garden Club the best club ever!
