Each year, The Woodlands Garden Club awards up to $1,000 in grants to selected elementary and middle schools in Montgomery Co. and North Harris Co. to establish or maintain gardening projects.
The eligibility criteria and the process for selecting the recipients of the grants is determined by the Youth Garden Awards Committee. We encourage school nominations from The Woodlands Garden Club members and residents of our local communities. Please contact us by January to give the committee time to review the recommendations. We announce the winners at our Installation Luncheon in May and the awards are presented to the schools in September.
Mission Statement
The purpose of the club shall be to stimulate the knowledge and love of gardening, conservation, horticulture and design; to encourage and promote civic interest in the attainment of these objectives and to pursue these goals in harmony with nature.
