The School Garden Tour- French Elementary School, Klein TX
TWGC April 2026 General Meeting included a trip to the French Elementary School arranged by member and active school volunteer, Edie Apiscopa. The school, a recipient of the Club’s scholarship awards program, was happy to allow us to tour the large area with multiple garden plots that included a drip line watering system.
The garden is maintained with the help of teachers, parent volunteers, high school students seeking service hours and most importantly the gardening students of the school. The garden promotes hands on learning about the planting and caring for everything from native wildflowers and bushes to herbs and vegetables.”
