Alex Buckallew started of our first meeting of the season, and what a wonderful one it was!
Before coming to Texas, Alex was a Sales Director for Proven Winner ColorChoice Shrubs in Grand Haven, MI. There he ran all sales for PWCC Canada and US. At PWCC they developed new varieties and sold liners to large nursery growers. In 2012, Alex was recruited to be a General Manager for 1200 acre nursery in Willis, TX.
In 2019, Alex started Buckallew Enterprises Home and Garden, Inc which produces seasonal color for the Landscape trade and homeowners. They currently grow 30,000 flats of color along with hanging baskets and 6″ potted flowers. He’s also the Ball Seed Distributor in all of South Texas. Every plant and flat of color he brought, and you’ll see in the photos, he graciously donated to our Club.
