HAPPY FALL, Y’ALL! It will be wonderful to see everyone again! Come any time after 8 am to help set up the room for the meeting starting at 9:15 am; social time is at 9 am. Turn left around the building and follow the garden club signs and balloons. There is parking near the meeting room entrance. Do NOT enter at the main building. RSVP is required for room set-up, health precautions, and food. Attendance is still limited and if you are not on the RSVP list, you will not be permitted to enter. We hope you are well, but if you don’t feel well, please stay home. We cannot have guests at this time.
WHEN: 9 am to 11:45 am general meeting followed by Hospice Floral Group
WHERE: Shenandoah Municipal Complex, 29955 I-45, Shenandoah, TX 77381
Today’s program is about “Art Of The Garden” by Bitsey Crismon, and Viviane Tondeur will present a plant study on bromeliads. Sharon Podolski will give us the details about the Arts & Crafts Sale at The Woodlands Wildflower Festival on November 6, and Betty Lahiri is the lead for the Houston Federation of Garden Clubs fundraising gala on December 10. Our Club will be hosting the Silent Auction. Mary Barnes will be collecting items for Interfaith, the women’s shelter, and the animal shelter. Marsha Nixon will announce the schools that have been selected for the garden awards. Can’t wait to find out about the fun field trips Donna Marie Thornton is working on!

Due to the rescheduling of the meeting, the Floral Group will stay on and make the flower arrangements for this month. Extra hands will make quick work and this is a great opportunity for members who have not yet participated to help create pretty bouquets for hospice patients in The Woodlands – no experience necessary. Please bring any small jars you may have, and greenery or flowers from your garden.

Please join us as we get a slightly delayed start to our new Club year!
