Photo Gallery Meeting November 14, 2023

Gary Clark, the nature columnist for the Houston Chronicle, has been active in the birding community for more than 30 years. He currently sits on the Board of Advisors for the Houston Audubon Society and Gulf Coast Bird Observatory. Gary presented an overview of birds we see in our area and backyards.

We are thankful to the Shenandoah Municipal Complex for our meeting room, beautifully decorated by Betty Lahiri and her team, and our members generously donated to the annual food drive.

Committee chairs presented updates about past and upcoming activities. Please refer to the meeting agenda for details.

Thanks to Kathy Kern for arranging the luncheon, and to the hostesses for the delicious dishes and desserts.

For the monthly Plant Study Diane Wedgeworth brought a wagon of natives and pollinators, and donated the plants and cuttings to the drawing.

Plants on the Horticulture Table included versatile Tradescantia (groundcover, borders, containers), Queen of the Night, and Crown of Thorns. Judy Jones conducted the Monthly Drawing with many beautiful items.
