No one does it like Tony Huffman! Inspired by “The Storm,” a painting by Pierre Auguste Cot, Tony presented a Valentine’s program of a couple running through a garden in the rain and covered by a billowing drapery. With Cathy Neill modeling (her foot) and Donna Marie assisting, the floral design came to life before us. Wow! just wow!
Anne Young presented the horticulture program about Campanula Medium and donated a beautiful plant to the drawing. Donna Marie is planning fun field trips to the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden (an overnight adventure) to see the annual spring show, “Painted Churches” in Fayette County, and the annual Azalea Trail of the River Oaks Garden Club. Sharon announced Saturday, April 2nd as the date for the spring plant sale at The Woodlands Farmers Market and gave us tips on how to create attractive containers.
We loved the beautiful room and table decor by Betty, and enjoyed a delicious luncheon.
The meeting concluded with a drawing of fabulous prizes including Tony’s floral design, a beautiful kalanchoe plant, and milkweed growing kits.
