“I’ll never look at worms the same way,” said Sherry during the vermiculture presentation by Master Gardeners Merrie Decker and Lawana Williams. We learned about caring for the red wigglers, their diet, worm composting, making compost tea, smelled the castings (very earthy), and looked for eggs and babies with a magnifying glass. The speakers graciously donated a bag of castings and a bag of worms for our drawing.
Betty’s room and table decor is always fabulous, and our members were once again very generous with Easter gifts of bunnies and other stuffed animals for the children in the women’s shelter.
The Woodlands Garden Club meeting are about camaraderie, horticulture, and delicious food!
Happy gardening!
