David Ferguson of Texas811 presented an outstanding program about the importance of locating utility lines before digging. More than 80% of damages to gas lines involve homeowners’ shovels… and the fines and repairs are costly! Thanks to VP Katherine Plenger for inviting a great speaker!
Donna Marie announced the upcoming field trip to Kim’s Home and Garden Center, and Sharon talked about the beautiful fiddle-leaf fig for the plant study.
Bitsey’s daughter is a talented embroiderer and we are selling personalized tote bags and aprons for members, and “Wildly Ever After” t-shirts and sweatshirts. Volunteers at the Arts, Crafts & Plant sale at the Wildflower Festival on November 6th will be wearing their aprons. Thanks to Mary for acting as our treasurer while Sabrina is out on grandma duties. Congrats to Sabrina and her family on their new bundle of joy, Luke.
The hostesses prepared a fine meal, Betty set up the gorgeous fall decor, and we celebrated October birthdays with lush cupcakes.

Thanks to Detlev and Viviane for the pictures. See you next month!
