Photo Gallery Meeting January 13, 2025

Welcome to our first meeting of the 2025! It was wonderful to see everyone after the holiday’s and meet our new members. Incoming President Sally Centrich has decided to keep the meeting format “fun & social” while club business will be taken care of at the board meetings. Please refer to the meeting agenda and The Brief for all pertinent information. Thanks to Betty Lahiri for the beautiful room decor, and Sherry Copeland for arranging fantastic speakers.

We learned “All About Owls” with Amanda Medena, Cathie Coudert and Luna the owl from Friends of Wildlife. Friends of Texas Wildlife is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and a group of trained and permitted volunteers who provide care for injured, displaced and orphaned wildlife in Montgomery and surrounding Counties.  They support the rehabilitation of native Texas wildlife and promote co-existence of wildlife and people through education. What a fun and informative program.

Thank you to those who stayed after the meeting to help make the beautiful floral arrangements for local hospice patients. Much appreciated. They LOVED them! If you haven’t participated, please consider at the next meeting.

The Brief important dates:

  • Field Trips– Details will be presented to all members via EVITE. Keep an eye out!
    • Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center in Austin Tuesday, March 25th
    • Florescence in Houston Wednesday, April 16th
  • Indian Cooking Class presented by our own Raksha Patel – TBD

Happy gardening!
