A trip to The Arbor Gate is always a treat, even more so when lunch is at The Whistle Stop. The Gate’s magnificent display gardens, dedicated rose and herb houses, native plants, vegetables, annuals, perennials, shrub, trees, and exotic plants will inspire your creativity. The gift shops include home decor, original art, lamps, gourmet food, tableware, and seasonal decor, and they are well known for 1-2-3 Completely Easy, their very own line of organic plant food, soil, and compost. Make sure to follow their social media for educational events and to meet Beverly when you visit.

The Whistle Stop Tea Room is located in the charming antique district of historic downtown Tomball and a favorite stop of TWGC members. We had a delicious luncheon and visited many of the funky shops nearby.

Some ideas Donna Marie is working on include the pumpkin festival at Dallas Arboretum (overnight trip), Painted Churches in Schulenburg, Florescence at MFAH, Kim’s Home & Garden Center in Huntsville, and The Antique Rose Emporium in Brenham.
I say, let’s do them all…
